Welcome to my Campaign Website.
My name is John W. Jones. It is my honor to be a
Candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in
the 1st Congressional District of Northwest
California - to represent YOU.
As you look through my website, I want you to
prepare yourself for a Wild and Invigorating Ride
into the exciting potential for the kind of
Representation to our Federal Government that we all
can and should Hope for. I offer you a fresh new
Energy, and a can-do Spirit to achieve all that is
deserving for YOU and the District. Where areas of
the District’s economy are depressed, or where needs
are unfulfilled, I will work vigorously to grease
the wheels of the bureaucracy to pursue resolution
and provide the infrastructure and support needed to
re-vitalize and improve the District, to the benefit
of all. And where things are going well, I will
fight to preserve those interests and conditions as
well.
As a Police Officer and an Eagle Scout, Personal Integrity is of
greatest importance to me and guides my actions.
My Goal, and
my Promise to you,
is to be a
Responsible
Representative in Congress, providing
the vigorous investigative Advice and Consent
expected in Congress, and a
Unifying Voice
in
support of our Government and its legacy - a
Reasoned and Pro-active
Representative in the Halls and
Institutions of the Federal Government, not only on
the floor of the House - in debate and legislative
votes - but also to the Washington bureaucracy in
seeking resolution of your
concerns and needs.
Issues and Problems
are debated and voted on in Congress, and for that,
I will seek consensus
from YOU and all of the constituencies
within the District, and I will represent that
consensus in the best way that I can. I will also
serve as your advocate in
Washington, representing /
fighting for your needs
and interests to the various Government institutions.
I will
work with and through the system for
problem resolution, to
enhance an already beautiful District into a
more vibrant and productive place to live and work.
I will represent all
of You, the citizens of
the District,
not just myself or the Republican Party.
I am a Republican and conservative, with strong
traditional family
values, but I will represent the
entire District,
Your wishes and needs. I am an
open-minded
realist, and will seek out all facts,
information, and perspectives on each issue,
looking for the best ideas and solutions and
considering every position of merit. I
am
not judgmental
of
positions or perspectives different from
my own.
I have, and will
have, my own thoughts and ideas about problems and
needs within the District, and possible courses for
resolution, but I will
seek out from you, the constituents,
Your perspective of
such problems and needs,
and your thoughts for
resolution. You know the problems and
needs of your communities, and you have the ideas on
how to resolve them. I will keep open and active,
responsive channels of communication in seeking
resolutions. I will also seek the input of
professionals and experts, so that effective and
long-term resolutions can be achieved.
As a Police Officer
and a Boy Scout volunteer, I learned to always
investigate all sides of an issue before making any
judgment - to seek out the best possible courses
of resolution. I also learned as a Police Officer
that arrests were only a small part of my job.
Arrests, like warnings, referrals to other agencies,
education, etc., were only some of the tools
available for seeking resolution to problems. I
pledge that I will seek
studied, effective resolutions to your
needs.
In problem
resolution, I have learned to
work with people and
institutions as an effective team-player.
My Bachelor’s degree in Political Science /
Anthropology and my MBA, studying Public
Administration, have given me the knowledge to be
effective in the political processes and
institutions. My experience, receiving many Awards
for Distinguished Service, has
evidenced my
considerable success in problem resolution, and I
have always made many friends along the way, willing
to work with me again. I
will be
an effective and
responsive Representative/advocate for
you. I have
led a life of Public Service, and I’m excited
about the opportunity of
Serving
again - as an Eagle Scout, it is
my personal Passion.
Let me prove my public
service and personal integrity to you.

California. I can’t do it by myself, and, as I’ve
